Beautiful Dead is a work in progress. That has stopped. But just for now.
It’s a the story of two lads who survive (yet another) Zombie apocalypse. It’s not a Zombie thriller or a love story or an action comic. It’s a bit of all the them.
Beautiful Dead is a Zombie apocalypse survivor story told in the Class Comics way of doing things. That means there will be sex, but I can promise you it WON’T involve sex with the undead. GROSS. If you’re looking for that, then click elsewhere!
It began as one of those “what if” conversations that Patrick and I have all the time. We can’t really be sure who had the idea first, or exactly who added which details, but while walking along we both decided it would be cool to introduce Zombies, Heroes and Geeks to the wider Class Comics universe.
That was over four years ago… This book is having a really difficult birth. It took me a LONG time to sit down and hammer out the script to my satisfaction. There were several revisions, but each one seemed too heavy on the sex, or too crazy with the action, or just plain “not quite right”!
When I finally did get it finished, it lacked one more thing… An artist. Believe me when I tell you it’s hard to marry the concept of zombie gore with hot man love and make it work. Enter Silencio! This is an artist who already has a hard on for Zombies, and a flair for making the undead WONDERFUL!

he did some EXCELLENT work playing with the two main characters, Gage and Hayden, then drew a STUNNING first page to the book. Unfortunately… life interrupted.
For a variety of reasons Silencio had to leave the project. For me it’s unthinkable that someone would decide to focus on a full time, real world high paying job for a kick ass video game company over making a comic like this, but I guess deep down I do understand. Insert little smile and sigh here.
While I am devastated to not see him complete the book, I am eternally grateful for vision that he gave to these characters.
So for now, enjoy what is here while I ponder the future of these fellows. I am keeping my eyes open for another artists who has the right style to blend guts, gore, jizz and lust all on one page! It’s a tall order and there are some pretty big shoes to fill!
